Wasim Afreed.
Multidisciplinary designer — brand, campaign, motion & UI/UX. Now building digital products with AI.
Since 2018: posters → identity systems → fintech campaigns → interfaces → e-commerce → product education → shipping products with AI-assisted development. The tools changed. The scope expanded. The thinking matured.
Selected work
Case studies, not screenshots — each entry opens into the problem, role, approach and output.
Also worked with — A2B, celebrity-led campaigns, and international brands across Australia, the UAE & Japan — contributing creative work across 100+ client engagements through my role at an Australian-based agency.
Capabilities
Four layers of one practice — each grew out of real client work, not a course certificate.
Visual craft
Branding / Art direction / Campaigns / Typography / Visual communication
The foundation. Identity systems, guidelines and collateral with staying power — plus ad creatives that hold a visual language at daily cadence for fintech, beauty, trading, pet and Web3 audiences. Motion and video included.
Digital experience
UI/UX / Web design / Information architecture / Responsive / Interaction
Interfaces designed around users and goals — a fintech website rebuilt for hierarchy, trust and journey clarity; conversion-first landing pages; an e-commerce storefront designed and built end to end; SaaS walkthroughs shaped by real user adoption.
Systems & execution
Content systems / E-commerce / Cross-channel / Project ownership
Repeatable frameworks over one-off assets — a visual language scaled across an entire multi-venture Web3 ecosystem, daily-cadence content kits, and full ownership of a brand's operations as co-founder.
Emerging practice
Generative AI / Prompt design / AI image & video / AI-assisted dev
AI as an expansion layer on the craft — generative exploration in production work, and AI-assisted development used to design and build two working digital products.
Process — understand the goal and the user · structure the information and flows · design the interface · build or hand off cleanly · refine against real behaviour.
From visual craft to working prototypes — choosing the right tool for the problem, not the trend.
THE TOOLS CHANGE. THE THINKING TRAVELS.
2018 → 2026
Not a résumé timeline — a changelog of how the scope kept widening.
Foundations
Still in college, already designing — symposium brochures, event material and self-driven Photoshop work. No briefs, no process, just output and curiosity.
Professional practice
Design became a job. Branding, social media systems and full campaign pipelines — including a year as the single creative contact for a celebrity-founded beauty brand, from posters to videos to landing pages.
Communication systems
Fintech, blockchain and trading platforms — where complex products need simple stories. Built scalable visual frameworks for partnership announcements, investor decks and daily market content across an entire Web3 ecosystem.
Digital & product education
Website redesigns for enterprise fintech, Meta campaign creatives, and an ongoing product-education series for a SaaS platform — thinking in user adoption, not just aesthetics.
Ownership
Co-founded Mifa Jewels, a D2C jewellery brand — owning identity, storefront, packaging, marketing and operations. Design judged by whether it sells, not just how it looks.
AI-enabled creation
Generative image and video in production workflows, prompt-driven exploration, and AI-assisted development — independently designing and shipping working digital products.
The tools changed. The scope expanded. The thinking matured.
Built, not briefed
Self-initiated products, designed and developed with AI-assisted workflows — proof, not promise.
// where the design practice turns into product practice
AI is a capability layer — not a buzzword. Eight years of craft underneath; AI compounds it.
- Generative image workflows for campaign concepting and visual exploration
- AI video generation for motion drafts and rapid content experimentation
- Prompt design and creative automation woven into daily production
- AI-assisted development — bridging visual design with working, shippable code
About
A designer with a builder's mindset — I care as much about whether the work performs as how it looks.
The range isn't restlessness; it's how I think. Every discipline I picked up came from a real problem in front of me, not a curriculum — a campaign that needed motion, a store that needed building, a workflow that needed automating. I learn by shipping.
UI/UX changed my perspective the most: once you design a storefront people actually buy from, or rebuild a fintech site around hierarchy and trust, you stop asking "does this look right?" and start asking "does this make sense to the person using it?" That question now sits under everything I make.
Right now I'm looking for work where that range is the point, not a liability — senior roles or select projects where design is expected to connect to the product, the system or the business around it.
Client notes
Wasim was our single creative point of contact for a full year — posters, videos, landing pages. He took raw briefs and came back with creatives that solved real sales problems.Haappy HerbsHerbal beauty brand
He translated a complex fintech product into simple, trustworthy visuals for our India campaign — clear, timely and conversion-focused during a high-pressure season.CryptactCrypto tax platform
Our Meta campaigns needed creatives with heart that still performed as paid ads. Wasim designed like a pet parent first and a designer second — and it showed in the results.PawxpressPremium pet brand
